CANNOT WIN
he told me his wife
had been on a diet
for seven years
and every single day
she’d say to him,
“do I look fat?”
every day he’d say, “no”
and that was that
but then
after those seven years
she’d finally lost some weight
and was feeling better about herself
so good
in fact
that she thought she could do better
find a better man
a better life
so when he came home one day
